What is Web Hosting?
If you are new to web hosting and need a summary of what to expect, here are a few points to help you understand web hosting better.
What does it mean? In full term it's called "Website Hosting" . It refers to a package that gives you space and resources to host your website data inside.
Very important to note, is that this is a separate service from "domain names". A domain name is the URL in your browser ('website.com' for example) , and it connects to the Website Hosting package in order to display that data. You need both of these services to have a website.
So in order to start making a website, the first step is to purchase 1. A domain name , and 2. Web hosting package.
There are many different types of website hosting and in order to avoid any confusion, we will describe only the types that we do provide.
cPanel hosting.
This refers to the single account plans that we offer. It is one cPanel account with the specifications listed in front of each plan. You should select the plan that best fits your needs based on those specifications.
You may have website/s and email/s and manage them with various tools.
These packages are located on a shared server, with other users having similar packages. The accounts are completely separated using Cagefs so your data is safe no matter what happens with other users on the same server.
Reseller Hosting
Resellers receive a limited amount of accounts (ex: 50 , 100) and a control panel to manage each of them as well as their reseller tools. The name of this reseller control panel is "WHM".
They can create packages (much like our single account plans) and give them as many resources as they want, then sell them to customers for a price. These packages are located on a shared server as well.
Dedicated Servers
Dedicated servers are exactly that , an entire server dedicated to your needs. There are two types of servers: one is unmanaged and it means you need install everything from scratch, and two is the one that we offer: managed servers which we handle at software end so that all you need to do is manage your cPanel accounts and data.
This is a great option if you wish to be independent and have your own server.
