Availability
Crawling is resource-intensive at the server level, since it generates requests for every page of every site that runs it. For that reason, the crawler is disabled by default on our shared hosting platform, which is the standard configuration for shared LiteSpeed environments. If your site would benefit from cache warming, please contact our support team:- On some plans and servers, we may be able to enable the crawler with sensible limits.
- For resource-heavy sites that depend on crawling, a plan with dedicated resources may be the better fit, and we can advise on options.
Alternatives to the crawler
Even without the crawler, you can keep your cache warm:- Longer cache TTL — increase cache lifetime in LiteSpeed Cache settings so pages stay cached longer.
- Preload on update — LiteSpeed Cache automatically purges and re-caches changed pages; the first visitor re-warms each page naturally.
- External uptime monitors — services that ping your key pages periodically keep those pages cached.
