Enhance includes a built-in WordPress Toolkit that makes it easy to install and manage WordPress sites.
Installing WordPress
You can install WordPress when creating a new website:
- Log in to your Enhance control panel.
- Click Add Website.
- Enter your domain name.
- Select the Install WordPress option.
- Complete the WordPress details (site title, admin username, password, and email).
- Click Add.
WordPress is installed automatically with your website. You can also install WordPress on an existing empty website from the website’s Applications section.
To access the WordPress Toolkit for a site:
- Select the website in your Enhance control panel.
- Scroll to the Applications section.
- Click Manage next to the WordPress installation.
From the toolkit you can:
- Log in with one click (SSO) — access wp-admin without entering credentials
- Manage plugins and themes — install, activate, deactivate, and remove
- Configure automatic updates — schedule updates for WordPress core, plugins, and themes
- Create a staging site — clone your site to test changes safely before pushing to production
- Manage maintenance mode — take your site offline temporarily while working on it
- Change basic settings — site URL, debug mode, search engine indexing
Staging
Staging lets you clone your live WordPress site, test changes on the clone, and then push the changes back to production:
- In the WordPress Toolkit, click Create staging site.
- Make your changes on the staging copy.
- When ready, use Push to production to apply the changes to your live site.
Pushing staging to production overwrites the live site’s files and database. Make sure you have a recent backup before pushing.
If you run into any issues with WordPress on Enhance, our support team is available 24/7 to help.
