# How to create FTP account

FTP is used when you want to provide access to the site content only. You can create such an FTP account directly in cPanel, under **Files -> FTP Accounts**, where you have a few options available:

* **Option 1:** Create an FTP account with access to all data/folders within the account.
* **Option 2:** Create an FTP account with access to the main site only within the account.
* **Option 3:** Create an FTP account with access to a separate folder within the account.
