# Do we still need Whois Privacy Protection?

From Stablepoint's point of view no, you no longer need whois privacy protection in certain conditions.

Since the GDPR rules were introduced, the whois privacy protection has been added as default to domains registered in the EU.

If your domain name is showing details instead of "REDACTED FOR PRIVACY" , and you wish to have whois protection enabled please contact us.
